PaintingLies.com operates as a public weblog, owned and maintained by an independent self-publishing imprint of the same name. Content reflects the individual opinions of the author and frequently includes personal photographs that must not be reproduced elsewhere without permission.
The website’s name is taken from a short story originally written for university coursework. It is a story about a painter with no name who tires of producing beautiful portraits for ugly women; this man is painting lies. It proved an apt name for the site and publisher that grew around it; after all, most writers are liars with the need to make you believe. You can find the story, Painting, in Fight the Sky.
The domain name and webspace are both provided by Galaxy Web Solutions. The site is powered by WordPress and the current layout is based on a free theme called Comet by Frostpress. The background and header were created using BGPatterns and LunaPic; the font used in the header is UglyQua_Italic.
