Yesterday my mum and I got on a train and went to Worcester, because rail fares were reduced. I thought it was a nice town, though the centre itself was very spread out and quite confusing for us visitors…it also didn’t have a Starbucks, which on a hot day, was frustrating. S’all good, I got an iced coffee from Birmingham on the way back.
The main reason for visiting was the cathedral, because I absolutely love walking round them (and smaller churches, too). Unfortunately you had to pay £3 for a “camera permit” in order to take photographs of the interior, so I didn’t bother. It was lovely, though, apart from the depressing slices of modernisation (plastic chairs stacked in front of carvings, gaudy plastic plaques on the walls of the crypt, etc.). 
My handsome man. <3 He’s looking wild and scruffy lately. Some might say straggly. I’m going to come at him with a comb, see if he’ll stay still for a minute.
I am so grateful that these two beautiful things are alive and well and living in my garden.
Here’s your weekly FTS update…the “final” proof arrived, and of course, five minutes into reading it, I notice errors. I did a very bad job when I checked Finger Trade last week. It’s unacceptable. My only reason for this is that this story was the last one I edited on Day 1 of the editing stint (I saved Never Seen the Sky for the next day, because it’s so lengthy) so I was very, very tired and braindead. Eurgh. Well, there are a couple of adjustments I need to make to the cover, too, so I suppose another re-draft was inevitable. I can’t be bothered to do it today, and seeing as I’ll be waiting over a week for these photographs to come through, I can afford to put it off. Why can’t we fix our mistakes the first time? Why is there something we always manage to miss?
Oh and I can’t seem to find it on Youtube but…Shakira’s new music video for ‘Gypsy’. Featuring Rafael Nadal, in various states of undress. YUM. I might even push the right the boat out and say “GOOD LORD THAT WAS ONE DAMN FINE SEXY VIDEO”. Go watch it!

Also, that’s a bitch about your stories. If (or should that be when?) you come to doing anything of the sort again I’ll happily volunteer to help proof-read your stuff if you want. Problem with doing it yourself is you always read what you want to because you know what it is you wanted to write. My dissertation went through a fair few hands before I handed it in in my final year just to make sure there weren’t any amateur fails I’d missed and sure enough a fresh pair of eyes found them whereas I’d just read what I wanted to be there haha.
