This is going to be a mega rabbit-related post! Introducing our new arrival:
Chip’s booked in to be neutered this week, and after he’s recovered from that, we’ll be gradually introducing the two of them to each other. Chip already knows something is afoot; he is very excitable. We’re keeping the little one indoors because he’s too tiny to survive the cold nights, so hopefully he’ll be settled soon. He’s so beautiful.
Hopefully Chip will take care of him, and they’ll be lifelong friends.

Here is Jack, tormenting one of my lovelies.

Love at first sight, yeah?
I finished formatting my stories collection today…I’ve ordered a proof copy. Once that arrives, the next step in this long process is to proofread the stories, note down any adjustments, etc…then get onto Dan’s back about the illustrations, in particular the front cover. Then, with everything in place, I can go back to the very beginning, inserting the images and re-formatting all of the pages. Once that’s done, I’ll order another proof, and if everything’s cool, add it to my Lulu store.
I’m feeling good about things, today. The fact that I’ve spent approximately £120 in the last 24 hours may have something to do with this, as shopping is my weakness. In all fairness, £26 went on Jaster, and a lot of the rest went on the final few Christmas presents. Okay, okay, so I’ve now got two expensive pairs of shoes…but evs, man! I deserved it! I get paid on Friday, too, which should soften the blow. I’m just not going to look at my bank balance before then.
This week looks pretty hectic. My work rota is thus:
- Tuesday: 12-8
- Wednesday: 12-8
- Thursday: 8-4
- Friday: 12-8
- Saturday: 12-8
…Lots of late finishes. I’m going to be very tired. Tomorrow in particular will be a bit mad; I’ve got a dentist appointment in the morning, immediately followed by eight hours of NO, NOT THE FIRST FLOOR, GO UP AGAIN!, and thennn I said I’d help out my friend Sophie with some photographs for her uni work. I don’t know where people have got this idea from lately, that I’m “photogenic”. I’m sure it’ll go well, she’s told me to bring lots of hair extensions and a pair of heels, so if anything it will be eventful…I’m just a bit scared of the cold.
Ah well. What can you do?
My mum wants to go and see a film Wednesday night…I don’t think there’s much out. I’m vaguely interested in Avatar, but if it’s going to be rammed, I’d rather wait. There doesn’t seem to be many more releases this Christmas, which is a shame. I’ll just have to snuggle up with a hot drink and a good DVD, instead…oh, how I wish Starbucks did home delivery. I could kill for a toffee nut latte, right about now.

…I think that’s enough rabbit-related spam for tonight. They’re lovely animals though, aren’t they?
RIGHT. Time to make myself look acceptable for this shoot, then. Before the evening’s through I will apply a facemask, pluck my eyebrows, dry and straighten my hair so it doesn’t resemble a mushroom cloud in the morning…and relax. I can’t wait to be lying in bed with my electric blanket switched on. It really is the reason I claw my way through the days.
