Bees in amber.

I don’t know what’s wrong with me, lately. I keep feeling violently nervous, to the point where I can’t focus on anything. Like right now, my insides are doing somersaults, and I have no idea why? Last night I woke up at about 4am, feeling so nauseous and awful. I thought I was going to be sick, but I didn’t want to stand up and make the mad dash for the bathroom, because I thought that would push me over the edge. I curled up into a ball and, eventually, the feeling passed…I was half asleep anyway so it took me a while to remember it, this morning. It’s not the first time I’ve woken up feeling this way…I dunno, maybe I’m having strange dreams that are making my sleep-self really nervous. I can’t remember my dreams lately, so who knows? Either way, I’d quite like it to stop.

Rescued Books

These are the books I rescued from the Wulfrun centre, today. There was a second hand book stall, and on one of the shelves were lots of little ancient hardbacks. I know the picture isn’t great (I couldn’t be arsed to whip out the Nikon for a single photograph), so I’ll tell you what each one is. I know you’re dying to find out.

  • “Ronald’s Self Denial” looks like a collection of standard short stories…I just fell in love with the title, and the cover. I’m probably going to read into the stories far too much, purely based on how sinister its appearance is.
  • “Bees in Amber” is a small collection of verse…it all seems to be centred around God. I don’t really talk about my beliefs too often, but I do have a strong faith in god-with-a-small-g, so I’m going to approach it with an open mind.
  • “A Miscellany of Poetry 1919″ is just what you might think. I’m hoping to catch hold of a poet I’ve never heard of in there, read something amazing, and finally have the inclination to create something decent of my own. Here’s to hoping!

Whilst passing through town I also picked up a new wallet, because my Emergency Wallet is falling apart, a pair of earrings and an amazing toffee nut latte from Starbucks…I was pretty damn relaxed, lounging on the comfy seats, reading Guards! Guards! for a few snatched minutes. If only I had my own personal Starbucks mobile cafe ready at hand, I go for a bit of that in bed.

Oh, and in other news, I finally have my TV set up! So now my PS3 is back in action. I was actually able to get on Home last night, which was a first. Do add me on PSN if you don’t already have me on there: my username is ShinigamiZM. :)
