21st Birthday Stuff

I’ve been meaning to do this post for a few days now, but every time I’ve sat down at the computer, something else has cropped up. Four days after my birthday, however, here I am to tell you all about it.

Last year was kinda shitty, so I didn’t have too many high hopes for my 21st, but I actually ended up having a really good time. My mum got me the most amazing presents – a little rabbit called Chip, and a trip to Bruges! Lisa and I are heading out on the train tomorrow, to catch the Eurostar over there. Excited ain’t really the word, my friend. Tom got me an iPod deck, which I love, how did I ever live without one? And Lisa got me the Fawlty Towers boxset, which will bring the laughs on the rainy nights when I have nothing else to do. I got a few other things as well, but those were the main presents.

This is the cake Tom baked for me. :) Tasty!! My mum also got me one from Marks & Spencer, which was seriously good.

Wanna meet Chip?

He is, without doubt, the loveliest thing I have ever seen. <3 He’s so silly, as well. I bought him a two-story hutch-mansion (that wouldn’t fit through the sodding gate, OH DEAR GOD, that epic adventure deserves its very own post…) and on the first day he managed to hop up to the top floor unassisted, and then just sat there looking unhappy, because he couldn’t figure out how to get back down. He’s sussed it now, though. Strange little creature. He has a lot of personality, which I love. I want to get a friend for him when he’s a bit older, as there’s plenty of room in his hutch for two.

After we’d picked up Chip and confirmed that Lisa could come to Bruges, we went for a meal at The Imperial. I absolutely LOVE Chinese food. Their broccoli and fried noodles are beyond delicious. <3 It was a chilled out day, and you could say I didn’t do a lot, but I still enjoyed it. The next day, Tom and I went to see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, just before he had to catch the train back to Norwich. I really enjoyed it, though it couldn’t really be much worse than Order of the Phoenix.

What else has been happening?

Lisa’s parents have been away all week, so I’ve stayed over hers quite a lot, and had some good laughs. Last night we also went out to Planet, which I haven’t been to in FOREVER. It wasn’t a very good night to be honest, because of the DRAMAZ, but I ate some good chips, and got to see Helen (and I finally met Jayne too, I was beginning to think she was a myth) and a few other of Lisa’s friends that I get on with.

I’m SO EXCITED about tomorrow. There’s going to be a boat load of photos when I get back!! Uploading them onto here is kinda difficult because they always need resizing that makes them look all pixellated, but I’ll do my best. I’m actually really going to miss Chip. :( Hopefully my mum won’t allow him to escape the garden, if she lets him out for a run. He’s pretty hard to catch, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he managed to get away. I’d be gutted, though. DON’T LET IT HAPPEN, SUE!
