So Rafa didn’t win the Madrid Master’s final today, but that’s okay. I think Federer deserves a bit of a break. Rafa did well to defeat Djokovic yesterday in that epic semi, and it wasn’t surprising that he didn’t bring his best game oncourt against Roger. His knee was playing up yesterday, I just hope he gets enough rest now, in time for Roland Garros. Can he make it five in a row?!
I’m really tired today. I just got back from an epic walk up Kingsway, where we unsuccessfully hunted for a cache. I’m really into Geocaching but it’s so frustrating when you pinpoint the co-ordinates, but just can’t find the damn thing anywhere. We’ll probably try to find a different one in a few days time, when the weather is a bit nicer. Honestly, we had three days of glorious sunshine, and now its back to looking like shit. Typical England.
I think I might go read for a bit. I decided yesterday that I haven’t read enough recently, so I picked up Equal Rites by Terry Pratchett. I’ve read it before, but wanted to refresh my memory. I also wanted to see how similar/dissimilar C.O.N. is to the Discworld books, because Pratchett was one of my biggest influences when I first started the story, all those moons ago. I finished the book at 11am today, which is pretty good going. I’m quite in the mood for Mort now.
Tonight I’m going to the pub to play darts with Tom and Dave (of the Powell variety)…Dave’s moving back home on Thursday, so it’ll probably be the last time we do this. I will not do what I did last time, and nearly skewer his ankle with a rogue dart.
I apologise for this blog being all over the place…I’m too tired to string things together properly. I did a LOT of walking with my mum yesterday, as she visited and we spent all day trawling round the Westfield Centre. For some reason I can’t seem to sleep past 9am these days, so despite the fact I was exhausted last night, I didn’t get quite enough sleep. My thoughts about this? MERGH.
