Gutted isn’t the word

May 31st, 2009

I am heart broken. Gutted beyond all belief. Where were you, Rafa? Why didn’t you show up? What planet were you on? You kicked Hewitt’s ass in three sets and it was so convincing, I didn’t think I’d have to worry about you today. – – – – – – – – – I never [...]

Wizard and glass

May 28th, 2009

I took Tom to Birmingham on the train today, mostly just for the change of scenery. My ”YOU ARE POOR, WE TAKE PITY, HERE’S SOME MONEY” bursary has appeared in my account, so I had some cash to burn. Despite the fact that Brum is a shopper’s paradise (or nightmare, depending what day of the week you go on), [...]

Sack the stylist!

May 25th, 2009

So today Rafa began the defence of his Roland Garros (French Open) title, one which he has won for the past four consecutive years. I’m really hoping he can make it five in a row. If he finds his best tennis early on, I think he’ll be difficult to beat. He may not need a good [...]

I need you like a heart needs a beat

May 24th, 2009

It is unbelievably sunny and beautiful outside. I hope it stays like this for a few days. I made the most of it this morning and went for a walk to town, just listening to my iPod, reppin’ the Darth Vader t-shirt. I got this amazing iced vanilla cream drink from Starbucks, mmmm. Also got [...]

Does eldritch mean uncomfortable?

May 20th, 2009

What do the above books have in common, you might wonder? Why, they’re the books I’ve read this week. Well, over the past four days, at any rate. Okay, so I haven’t finished The Gunslinger, but by this time tomorrow I will have. I honestly cannot recommend so many books to a single person in [...]

Equal rites.

May 17th, 2009

So Rafa didn’t win the Madrid Master’s final today, but that’s okay. I think Federer deserves a bit of a break. Rafa did well to defeat Djokovic yesterday in that epic semi, and it wasn’t surprising that he didn’t bring his best game oncourt against Roger. His knee was playing up yesterday, I just hope [...]

Cache #003

May 13th, 2009

This cache was so well hidden, we searched for ages! Tom eventually found it after kicking over some logs. You can just about see the silver key in the tub, which is what I left behind after signing the log. A really lovely walk, I do love that park.

Cache #002

May 12th, 2009

This was a really enjoyable find. The walk was nice, you can’t really beat Markeaton Park. I found a geocoin in the cache! So I’m going to take it back to the West Midlands with me in the summer, and hide it in a cache there.

Cache #001

May 12th, 2009

My first cache! That’s Tom’s minging hand in the photo, not mine. We had to use our SOLID SNAKE SUPER STEALTH MODE to find it, as it was hidden in direct view of a CCTV camera and was near a busy main road and student halls’ of residence.
